Ants leave maps for other ants when they walk.

Ants leave maps for other ants when they walk.

As worker ants leave the nest to find food, they leave behind a chemical trail called pheromones. The ants walk in a straight line because they follow the scent the leader left behind

How do ants follow the same trail?
Most species of ants use special chemical signals — called pheromones — to communicate with one another. A worker ant that leaves the nest to forage for food will leave a trail of pheromones for other ants to follow. When the ant finds food and returns back, it will lay down another trail of pheromones.

Each ant species has its own chemical vocabulary of up to 20 different pheromones which can be secreted to form specific scent trails. The tips of their antennae translate the chemical 'words', thereby guiding the ants, in a line, to or from the desired destination.

They move using sensors that are on their ears or antennae. When they meet other ants outside their nests, the ants will use their smell to other ants to ensure that they are from the same colony. If coming from different colonies, tense suaana will occur.

The ants walk in a straight line because they follow the scent the leader left behind. Once the ants find food and head back to the nest, they will lay down another trail of pheromones, allowing others to pick up their scent and follow the same route. Bumping into each other is another way ants correspond.

Necrophoresis is a behavior found in social insects – such as ants, bees, wasps, and termites – in which they carry the dead bodies of members of their colony from the nest or hive area. This acts as a sanitary measure to prevent disease or infection from spreading throughout the colony.

Yes ants fart. Yes, tremendously. Yes. An ant's arsehole is the smallest orifice in any known creature and the sound of an ant farting has been recorded as the lowest decibel-level achievable in nature.

If we make our finger to cross the line the fluid gets on our finger and the line of ants gets distrubed due to disconnection of line. Ants don't go straight, they follow each other, whenever an ant finds food, its make a chemical (pheromone)path. Then all ants follow that path in search of food.

It is a common misconception that ants never sleep. ... Ants do not follow regular sleeping schedules, rather a cyclical pattern of resting periods. Worker ants take about 250 tiny power naps that last about 1 minute on average at odd times throughout the day and night, for a total of nearly five hours of sleep per day.
